There is no challenge in life that can’t be overcome with the help of a little kindness and ingenuity. This is something that the people behind Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary know only too well. Most of the farmed animals who call Edgar’s Mission home have been rescued from the animal agriculture industry or another abusive situation and need special care and attention. Luckily, Edgar’s has the expertise needed to make even the most troubled animal comfortable. Take Charity the sheep, for example.

Little Charity was born without hooves on her right front and back legs. Without hooves, her sensitive feet were exposed to the elements, making walking a very painful and difficult task. Faced with this setback, the Edgar’s Mission team set to work and managed to get special boots for Charity to help her live like a regular sheep.

Now Charity can run, leap and play with all the other joyful sheep at Edgar’s Mission – all thanks to a little bit of compassion and a whole lot of determination.
