You’ll want to watch this wonderful video again and again – trust us. The video features two adorable California sea lions who are being released back to the ocean by The Marine Mammal Center (MMC). Both sea lions, Cronutt and Tyrell were being treated for two different issues at the center and clearly bonded during their time together.
Usually, when sea lions are released, they beeline for the ocean, but sweet Cronutt made a U-turn when she realized her buddy wasn’t by her side! It almost seemed like she says to him “What are you doing, let’s go!” With Cronutt’s reassurance, he headed straight for the ocean.
The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA is the largest marine hospital in the world. The center has rescued and rehabilitated over 20,000 marine animals since it’s opening in 1975. MMC is also committed to education and scientific research that benefits marine life. The organization additionally operates Ke Kai Olaa hospital in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii with special attention on the critically endangered Hawaiian monk seal.
