Amy’s may be best known for their ready-made vegetarian and vegan frozen meals and cans of soup, but the company also has a hugely successful vegetarian drive-thru restaurant chain, appropriately called Amy’s Drive-Thru, and next July, it is set to arrive at Terminal 1 at the San Francisco Airport!

You can expect to find classic American fare like burgers and fries at Amy’s.

Milkshakes come in both dairy and dairy-free options.

Hearty salads are also on the menu.

Amy’s also has a breakfast menu serving up favorites like “sausage” sandwiches and hash browns.

Amy’s will also be opening up a location in Corte Madera, California in 2019. To learn more about Amy’s Drive-Thru, visit their website here.

Although we understand Amy’s caters to vegans and non-vegans alike, omitting dairy from their menu may in fact draw in even more customers, as consumer trends show dairy is OUT and plant-based is IN, with the global plant-based dairy alternative market set to reach a whopping $16.3 billion by the end of this year. You can do it, Amy’s!

Of course, ditching dairy has a tremendous positive impact on animals’ lives, our personal health, and the health of the environment. To learn more about the environmental impact of our food choices, be sure to check out the Eat for the Planet book!

  1. Maybe it\’s just me, but I can\’t imagine why one would put a drive thru at an airport! Is this airport not like every other airport I have been at which is mainly a traffic nightmare? Wouldn\’t this just make the traffic even worse?
