This news belongs in the ridiculously sad category!
Russia’s republic of Yakutia is officially the coldest place in the northern hemisphere; this not only presents a monumental problem to the human inhabitants of the region, but also the animals.
In a move that may seem practical to the owners of dairy cows in the region, but will seem absolutely ridiculous to anyone else, cows have been provided with hand-made rabbit fur bras.
According to this article, the “triangular bovine brassieres” boast three straps, two of which go across the animal’s waist, and the third under its tail.
The bras are designed to keep the cow’s milk warm in the biting cold.

Why do they have to use rabbit fur? Why not some synthetic material? I can just imagine some Russians rushin to kill rabbits for their fur or having a rabbit fur factory. I don’t like the idea because the shitty fur trade usually means poor animals being skinned alive. They sure are cold hearted in Yukutia.
Whaa??
