Rosalie spent four years of her life tied to a kennel in the back of a factory serving as a guard dog. However, given her emaciated appearance, one could easily confuse her for the factory ghost rather than its protector. For four years, Rosalie was kept in deplorable conditions. With a bit of luck, the factory closed and the workers sought out a place to bring the dog – potentially the kindest action they showed her all her life.
Dumping Rosalie at the front door of He’Art of Rescue shelter, the men were happy to be rid of the dying dog. The shelter staff recognized the severity of Rosalie’s condition. She barely resembled a dog, and her skin was covered with mange. But this did not stop them from taking immediate action to help the struggling pup.
