It seems that there are no lengths that rescuers from Hope for Paws won’t go to to help a homeless pup in need. We’ve seen this amazing LA-based rescue organization save dogs abandoned in landfills and come to the aid of countless pups living under highway overpasses. But this video featuring the rescue of three dogs who were trapped at a 7,600-foot elevation on a mountain in Wrightwood, California, certainly showcases how far these amazing people will go when called into action.
The three dogs, Sage, Ginger, and Emma, had been living on the mountain for weeks and managed to evade any and all rescue attempts. Despite the freezing cold temperature and the rugged terrain, they were too terrified of people to be rescued.
After spending hours of trying to gain the dogs’ trust, the Hope for Paws team managed to capture Ginger and get her safely to the vet hospital for a good bath and check-up. Sage and Emma were a bit more reluctant but eventually walked into rescue traps within the next two days.
Although this particular rescue mission was anything but easy, seeing these pups safe and happy was certainly worth it all! Sage and Emma have now found loving forever homes, but sweet Ginger is still in need of a family.
