The term “fur baby” is often used to describe animals like dogs and cats. Given how we pamper and coddle our rescued puppies and kitties, it figures that we call them babies. But would this term apply to other animals besides dogs and cats?
We don’t usually think of pigs or cows, in the same way, however, maybe we should. After all, these animals need love and care just as much as our dogs and cats. Well, in the eyes of animal sanctuary Igualdad Interspecies, the farm animals they rescue absolutely fit the bill.
In this video from the sanctuary, you can see Miguel the pig go from a tiny piglet to a full grown adult. Seeing how his caretakers shower him with love, there is no question that he is their little fur baby – even when he grows into a full-grown piggy! No matter how big and strong he gets, he stays the same cuddly, friendly mush ball!
