Animal Place is a 600-acre sanctuary for rescued farm animals located in Grass Valley California. Founded in 1989, this wonderful organization has spent the last 26 years helping to rehabilitate abused and neglected farm animals.
Panda and Jazzy are two rescued cows who now live at Animal Place. This video shows Panda and Jazzy’s first day at the sanctuary. One might think that they would be nervous to meet the large resident herd that lives there, but as we see in this video, bovines can be very welcoming!
Most cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and turkeys never get to experience this sort of happiness but are mistreated and abused in factory farms. Many people who mistreat these animals do so under the false belief that they do not know what is happening to them. But this video, like so many others, proves that these animals are incredibly intelligent and aware.
Farm animals are easily as intelligent as dogs or cats and are worthy of respect. No animal deserves to experience the fear and pain these cows have lived through, but the good news is that the kind people at Animal Place will make sure they will never have to experience it again.
