If anyone out there is tempted to claim that farmed animals are incapable of displaying as much cunning and ingenuity as any other species, let the hilarious video above prove them wrong! The clip, which was posted by The Gentle Barn, Tennessee, makes it clear that as soon as one of their resident bulls, Dudley, spies an opportunity to take advantage of his carers’ silliness, he is ready to jump on it at once!
His human friends were able to take an educated guess at what this sneaky boy might have been thinking when he saw that a faucet had been left on in the Gentle Barn kitchen: “Silly humans … they should know better than to leave a sink running when I’m nearby.” Thanks to the oversight of whoever left the faucet dripping, Dudley was able to enjoy a nice long drink … and even when a human approached him with a camera – at which point he must have known that he had been caught – he continued to brazen it out and slurp away regardless! You have to admire his nerve.
Dudley is clearly enjoying every moment of his life at the sanctuary after being rescued from the dairy industry. When he first came to the attention of the Gentle Barn team, he was suffering from a painful foot infection, which required him to spend several months in the hospital. After enduring numerous surgeries and being fitted with a new prosthetic foot, he was finally ready to begin his new life.
