After a long, hard day, there is nothing like spending some quality time snuggling with your number one cow friend. Yes, you read that correctly, we said cow. While bovines might not typically be considered as the ideal snuggle buddy, you might be surprised to learn that cows LOVE being pet and pampered just as much as your dog or cat might.
The little calf featured in this video is Samuel, a calf who was rescued from the dairy industry by the Gaia Sanctuary. Sadly, male calves born into the dairy industry are regarded as waste or a byproduct and are usually sold at a young age for veal. Samuel, however, was rescued from this fate thanks to the kind people at Gaia, and he has grown to be a loving and amazing little cow.
We just can’t get enough of this video; it’s incredible to see just how similar all the animals in our lives truly are!
