Harley, the puppy in the photos below, was born without eyes. However, his lack of eyesight doesn’t keep him from using his sniffer to navigate his way around the shelter, nor does it stop him from being the biggest sweetheart ever. This puppy’s mother was brought to the ASPCA after she was rescued from an abusive caretaker. Given Harley’s special needs, the ASPCA was concerned about the blind pup’s chances of finding a forever home, so they reached out to S.N.A.R.R. Animal Rescue Northeast for help.
Harley’s current caretakers are making sure he’s getting the specialized care he needs, they explain on Facebook, “Harley will be seeing the eye specialist to make sure that we don’t need to do anything regarding his empty sockets. We want to make sure he is as comfortable as possible.”
Once that’s all clear, he’ll be up for adoption. If you’re interested in adopting Harley, then you can stay in the loop by visiting S.N.A.R.R. Animal Rescue Northeast’s adoption page or by visiting their Facebook page.
