Despite the popularity of dogs and cats in the U.S., there are still around 70 million homeless pets wandering the streets. Some of these animals are feral while others were abandoned by their guardians and left to fend for themselves. All of these animals, however, are in need of a loving forever home.
World Animal Awareness Society (WA2S) is working to find a home for some of the most needy animals while raising awareness for the homeless animal epidemic.
In this video WA2S, follows a group of volunteers from Forgotten Dogs of the Fifth Ward in Houston, Texas. What starts out as a mission to offer their help in caring for a family’s pack of dogs ends with the surprise rescue of another desperate little one. You’ll have to watch the whole video to see all the magic happen. It is sure to bring a big smile to your face!
