Photos of This Smiling Shelter Dog Are Going Viral For the Best Reason

There are about 70 million stray animals living in the U.S. and only about six to eight million cats and dogs enter the nation’s 3,500 shelters every year. Of those animals who make it to a shelter, only about three to four million cats and dogs get adopted. Given these staggering numbers, animal shelters work around the clock to ensure the animals in their care are comfortable – and in the case of one little dog from Texas, his gratitude literally shows.

Meet Cheech! He recently arrived at the City of Waller Animal Shelter and Rescue, a 100 percent donation and volunteer-based animal shelter in Waller, Texas, and he can’t stop sharing his toothy grin! He must know he is safe now. 

Cheech may not always flash his pearly whites but don’t worry, he is still smiling! Animal lovers everywhere adoreCheech, with the original Facebook post now having over 4,400 shares. Look at that smile!

City of Waller Animal Shelter and Rescue note on their Facebook that they have, understandably, received many adoption forms for Cheech.
