Some rescue missions would have no chance of succeeding without the help teamwork. The story of Lucy the cow is one of those remarkable rescues and, fortunately, when she needed a helping hand – or rather a few dozens of them – she found herself entirely surrounded by friends!
The Guardians of the Voiceless were informed about the animal, who was stuck fast in a drain, by a kind passerby. Lucy was struggling to free herself, but her legs were hopelessly stuck in tar and she could not move.
Getting the poor cow out was bound to be a challenge, seeing as the drain was broad and created a divider between the team and the animal. To the rescuers’ relief, almost twenty wonderful locals stepped in and took part in the rescue! Together, they managed to pull Lucy out of her trap and get her safely onto dry grass.
Cleaned and fortunately, free of wounds, Lucy could once again stand on her own and was visibly relieved – all thanks to the great help she got from so many people.
