It seems like summer has finally transitioned to fall, which means that the next few months are going to be chock full of everything pumpkin spice! But while fall may mean cozy sweaters and apple picking for us humans, for animals it’s a mad dash to get as fat as possible for the long winter.
Unlike many animals, squirrels and rats do remarkably well when living among humans. A video of one of these smart little guys, now pizza rat, has been picking up steam on social media lately – but this opportunistic rats isn’t alone in his venture to dominate human junk food. We bring you the awesomeness that is milkshake squirrel. Really, look at him go at the 0:03-second mark!
While it’s great to see how these resilient and smart animals can turn a negative into a positive, the amount of trash they have access to is still not a good thing. While the squirrel understands how to take out the straw and peel off the rim of the cup, how many squirrels have tried to chew through the plastic and choked?
