Lost Hummingbird Gets Returned to the Wild Thanks to the Help of Jon Hamm!

Who knew Don Draper saved wildlife in his spare time?! Actor Jon Hamm and friends came to the rescue of a poor hummingbird who wandered into the house. Hummingbirds are fascinating creatures who move their little wings at an amazing speed, producing a subtle hum as they zoom by. Unfortunately, birds are often fooled by streak-free windows, and zoom right into the glass. Thankfully, this hummingbird didn’t slam into any windows, and instead he slammed right into Jon Hamm!

When Jon first spotted the hummingbird, he stepped up on a chair to get close to the little guy. 

Using two baseball caps, he tried to catch the hummingbird along with his friend to keep it from flying further into the house.

Slowly and steadily, they guided the bird to the window.

Success! After the hummingbird flew out of the house, Jon and his friend shared a high-five, knowing they just set this remarkable bird free!

We’re so thankful this hummingbird flew into the home of Jon and friends, who took the time to help this little guy find his way back to the wild.
