Italian Surfers Heroically Rescued a Drowning Flamingo and Helped Him Get Back on His Feet! (PHOTOS)

Franco Guicciardi is a sailing, surf, and windsurf instructor at Forte Village Resort in Sardegna, Italy, and now he can add “flamingo rescuer” to his repertoire. Guicciardi shared the incredible story on his Instagram page …

While out on an excursion with his peer Nico, the men came across a flamingo in distress who was exhausted by strong marine currents and winds.

After the two heroes hoisted the bird onto the board, they headed back to the shore.

Once ashore, they called professionals to assist in the rescue, and the flamingo was then taken in for veterinary treatment.

After a few days of treatment, the pink feathered beauty is expected to recover and fly safely once again. If this bird could talk, it would certainly say thank you to Franco, Nico, and everyone else who helped in this amazing rescue!
