Where there’s smoke there’s fire. That’s a saying that holds true literally and figuratively. Figuratively, if there’s a lot of “talk” AKA “heat” pointing towards a situation, that usually means it’s true. And, literally, if there’s a lot of smoke in a forest, that generally means there’s a fire.
Six-month-old mixed Pit Bull Bonita didn’t need to have any lessons in fire rescue to know that there was trouble in her family’s apartment. Bonita’s family had fallen asleep when they heard their pup barking loudly. The dog had gotten a whiff of smoke and immediately knew danger was afoot.
Thanks to Bonita’s quick actions, her family was able to escape the blaze before it turned from a little smoke into a full-blown fire disaster. Not only this, but this courageous dog’s actions also helped all the other residents of this condo complex evacuate unharmed. Now that’s a true hero!
