No dog’s hearts were actually broken in the making of this video, we promise. Bella, the German Shepherd, got to keep swimming in the end, after the delivery of a pretty epic performance. Of course, it’s perhaps unwise to reward tantrums of this kind, but … Bella really did make a compelling argument.
She employs pathos, letting everyone know just how much swimming means to her, and how sad she would be to have to stop so soon. She also employs logos, pointing out that the water is especially lovely that day, and that the weather is truly perfect for a swim. It really would be a shame to stop swimming given such a perfect day. And finally, she employs ethos to cement her argument. She reminds her mama that she’s a good dog, and because of this she deserves some more time for swimming.
We can’t help but to agree Bella, well put! It also helps that besides this airtight argument, Bella’s delivery was incredibly adorable.
Not to be rude, but all of you who are complaining are pansies. The dog isn\’t being abused in any way, or is the dog stressing. If she is complaining about the food in the water, I\’m sure the owners gave her more after the simple 2 second video. The dog looks healthy and happy. Pull those panties out of your arses.

As her owner, since this is gone viral I have faced a large amount of criticism based on a lot of people thinking they know everything there is to know about my dog based on a 2 minute video. She is loved, well cared for etc. As stated below the TREAT is a small rock that was thrown to get her attention because prior to me starting the video she is swimming further away, ignoring me and starting to throw a hissy fit. I posted it because it was funny, some people just can\’t see that. But to each his/her own.
This is very sad and pathetic on behalf of the owners/videotapers and also this site because poor Bella just wants the treat that was thrown in the water .. She isn\’t upset about leaving but she wants the treat. What bully owners…
As her owner, the TREAT was a small rock. It was thrown it get her attention. What you don\’t see that prior to me starting to video tape she was ignoring me and swimming further away. As with all of the other sites that this has shown up on there are a large amount of people that choose to believe they know it all based on a two+ min video. But if it makes you feel better she is perfectly loved and taken care of. The reason she is swimming in the first place is because she has severe HD and we take her for therapy. This is right in from of my house so she goes most of the time daily. Now who\’s the bully??????
