When you think about it, whether you’ve seen it firsthand or have watched way too many funny animal videos, the combination of cats or dogs and vacuums does not seem like a good one. But sometimes our furry creatures surprise us by actually being totally OK with loud vacuum sounds, even really enjoying being physically vacuumed! Don’t believe that some cats love being vacuumed? Check out this video on These Tidy Cats Don’t Mind the Vacuum Cleaner!
If you have a dog or cat who doesn’t mind the scary sounds, vacuuming their fur with the brush piece or a specialized pet hair attachment is an effective way to clean/groom a pet. One of my doggies is a super weirdo. Murphy has a medium-long coat and he can’t get enough of the brush suction while my other two scaredy cats run and hide!
Now…I must retract my use of the phrase “scaredy cat” because some cats do enjoy vacuum cleaner fun! Watch as Rijka the cat keeps her focus while playing with the sucky end of the suction tube, not wanting to let it go. She inspects it with her face and even has no problem trying to taste the reverse air!
