If you were faced with the prospect of saving your beloved furbaby from a seven-foot-long alligator, what would you do? Many of us might be too scared to take on an angry reptile, but not the woman in this incredible video. She knew exactly how to put up a fight when her dog, Hope, was in danger.
Lori Beiswenger, from Citrus County, Fla., was horrified when the alligator emerged from a pond near Point O’Woods Golf Course – which she co-owns with her husband – and began to pull Hope into the water. Without thinking, she ran over and grabbed the alligator’s tail: “It was the dumbest, bravest thing I have ever done, but I wasn’t going to let her go. … I just kept pulling it and saying, ‘you’re not going out there,’ because I knew what (the alligator) had in mind!”
The alligator eventually released Hope, who is now said to be recovering well from the attack … but then, this is not the first time this plucky dog has cheated death. She was scheduled to be put down before being adopted by Beiswenger, and she has also previously survived being run over by a car. She is one lucky gal!
