Over the last several years, the Yulin Dog Festival has brought the gruesome practice of consuming dog meat into the spotlight. This annual lychee and dog meat eating festival takes place in China’s Guangxi district and has been protested by animal lovers, Animal rights organizations, and even big-name celebrities including George Lopez, Carrie Fisher, and Ricky Gervais who worked directly with Humane Society International to end the festival. Sadly, despite the efforts of animal advocates across the globe, the horrific torture and murder of innocent animals for human consumption continues, and the Summer Solstice (when the festival is held) is fast approaching. The question you may be asking yourself is, “what can I do?”
100% Pure Cosmetics is making it easier than ever to answer this question. The cruelty-free and vegan company has developed special sets of some of their most-loved products and will be donating 100 percent of the profits directly to rescuing innocent victims from the cruel festival. Some of the products you can pick up that are a part of the fundraiser include their Anti-Aging Skincare Set, Spa at Home Set (who doesn’t need that?!), Floral Body Cream Trio Set, Perfect Lip Butter Set, and more. This awesome campaign truly shows 100% Pure’s commitment to ending animal cruelty as well as promoting social responsibility.
This latest endeavor to help the dogs and animals in Yulin, many of whom are stolen pets, is not the company’s first animal campaign. From the start, the cosmetic brand has been a force in the fight to end cosmetic testing and has donated many profits to many forms of animal welfare.
The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is coming up quickly and the more money that is raised, the more animals who can be saved. Additionally, 100% Pure’s founder, Susie Wang, will be matching all donations up to $100,000 – it doesn’t get much better than that! Share this awesome news with your network to make a difference for these precious souls.
