There are over 70 million homeless dogs and cats living in the U.S. Although many would argue that these animals are some of the most cherished and loved pets, when they are living on the streets as strays, they are hardly treated with the same respect. The dog rescue organization, Hope for Paws, is working to change this by saving stray pups from the streets and doing all that they can to find them forever homes.
In this video, Lisa Chiarelli and the Hope for Paws team set out to rescue Aaron, a homeless dog who had been living in a parking lot, taking shelter under cars, for the past seven months. Poor Aaron was covered with fleas and ticks and appeared incredibly fearful of his human rescuers. Thankfully, with a little food and expert coaxing, Lisa managed to get the pup out into the open and rescue him.
Once Lisa finally got Aaron into her car, she could tell he was fevered. If it wasn’t for Hope for Paws, who knows how long Aaron would have been able to survive in such a condition. Luckily, these days are now over for this sweet little guy. After a warm bath, some good food and proper medical care, little cutie Aaron felt much better and started making new canine and human friends.
Share this video to help Aaron complete the next phase of his journey, finding a forever home!
