Dog Who Was Abandoned in Plastic Container on the Highway Got a Forever Home Just in Time for the Holidays!

In December last year, we shared the heartbreaking story of Charley. This sweet pup who was discarded in a plastic container and left to die on the side of a highway in Lincoln County, Washington. Luckily, a truck driver was making a quick stop and saw the box.

The truck driver immediately took the lid off and found a black-and-white puppy among the filth. 

The pup was taken to SCRAPS, a local rescue organization, and given a warm bath and medical attention. Sweet little Charley then went to live in a foster home while he recuperated.

And now we have the BEST news to share …CHARLEY GOT ADOPTED by his foster dad!

Charley will now have a warm, loving home to call his this holiday season (and for every holiday of his life!), thanks to the compassion of his foster dad.

With over 70 million homeless dogs and cats wandering the streets in the U.S., we could all stand to do a lot more to ensure the lucky animals who make it to shelters get their happy ending too.
