When she started her life, Olivia, the baby goat in the video, she didn’t know humans who could be good to her existed. She was born on a meat farm with her brothers and sisters, but because she was born without the use of her back legs, the farmer cast her aside to die. Cold, hungry, frightened, and utterly alone, Olivia had no hope. Thankfully, her dream of living freely and peacefully came true when she was rescued and brought to Santuario Igualdad Interspecie, a farm sanctuary in Chile. And her life recently got even better!
It was tough for the sanctuary to see this little goat who so full of energy, but unable to hop and skip around like she really wanted to. When they held her affected back legs, Olivia would run and jump like little goats love to do. After looking into the possibility of neurosurgery that would give her the use of her back legs, the sanctuary settled on getting a wheelchair custom made for this little goat. Finally, all of Olivia’s dreams have come true. Not only is this baby goat safe and sound in her sanctuary home, she can also zip around like she’s always wanted to and we couldn’t be happier for her.
