Ukrainian Cafe Owner Helps Desperate Stray Mother Save Her Puppies Before a Rainstorm

When the owner of a roadside cafe in Ukraine spotted this stray mother and her puppies on the side of the road, they called Love Furry Friends animal rescue for help. When help arrived, the mother was surprisingly friendly. A rainstorm was brewing, so they had to act fast and lure the puppies to safety with food. They were scared to come out of their hiding spot, but after an hour of patience, they finally followed their mother’s lead once she made sure it was safe.

While this mother and her puppies were lucky enough to be rescued, amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it’s been reported that more than one million people have now fled, many with their beloved pets in their arms. The unpredictability of the devastating war has forced many Ukrainians to make tough choices about what to take with them. Many don’t know when and if they will be able to return home.
