Canadian student Ethan Kowalchuk is developing “vegan” campaigns for the game Dungeons and Dragons in collaboration with Toronto’s new Animal rights center. His aim is to challenge entertainment’s inclination towards violence and encourage people to consider veganism as a lifestyle choice to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, livestock farming is responsible for about 14.5 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions.

It’s always heartwarming to hear stories of animals being rescued and finding their forever homes. One such story comes from Rice Lane City Farm, where farmworker Megan Jones stumbled upon a cardboard box outside the gate. Upon investigation, she found four guinea pigs huddled together in the box, defenseless and confused. A note on top of the box read, “Please take care of us. Thank you.” The guinea pigs had been abandoned outside the gate the night before, leaving them vulnerable to the elements.

India’s air Pollution crisis is taking a toll on the health of its citizens. A report by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air think tank revealed that almost the entire population of India is exposed to air pollution above the guidelines set by the World Health Organization. In 2019, air Pollution was responsible for an estimated 1.6 million deaths in India. As government efforts to fix the problem at the source fail, a new kind of inequality is emerging in Indian cities. Wealthier Indians are paying to breathe free, creating a booming market for air purifiers that is forecast to grow 35 percent to $597 million by 2027.
