When rescue workers at Animals Cottage Rescue Center in Pakistan spotted a stray mama cat bringing them a kitten, they knew something was wrong. The small kitten was cold to the touch. Quickly, the rescuers took him to the clinic for treatment. Then, the mama cat proceeded to bring her other three kittens. While two of them were healthy, one more was sick and required treatment.

Reddit user FirefighterBusy4552 recently took a leap of faith to rescue a friend’s cat named Eggie from an uncertain fate at a shelter. 4. 73 Animals Rescued from Home in Topeka, Kansas

Over 70 animals rescued from a distressing situation in Topeka, Kansas, are now experiencing care, comfort, and the promise of a brighter future at a Humane Society emergency shelter. Among the rescued creatures are 22 dogs, 48 cats, 2 rats, and 1 guinea pig, all of whom were removed from a residence on January 30 in collaboration with the Humane Society of the United States and the Topeka Police Department following allegations of cruelty.

6. Rogue Raccoon is Still on the Run in the UK After Seven Weeks

The elusive fugitive Meeko, a male raccoon on the run, has kept the city of Sunderland, UK, on its toes as the search for his capture enters its seventh week. The saga began when a trespasser released three raccoons from an enclosure at Sunderland Training and Education Farm on December 18th. While two of the raccoons, Rocket and Pinch, were successfully lured back with hotdogs, Meeko remains at large, tempting volunteers and experts alike with his cunning evasion tactics.
