While we love our cats, we certainly are not operating under the delusion that their lives revolve around us. Cats can be loving and doting at times, but if they are not feeling like hanging out with us, they won’t. Kind of like that friend who always flakes last minute when you have plans to go out – we understand though, sometimes Netflix is more fun than socializing.
The cat in this video does get a badge for effort though. When he is first faced with a crying baby, he appears to be a bit disturbed, “You got me out of my fuzzy bed to hang out with this kid?” But, he understands that he has an obligation to love this little human … who knows, maybe he’ll grow up one day to be the person who dispenses treats. We can’t help but laugh at how awkwardly the cat pets the baby’s head at first. Despite the cat’s hesitation or discomfort, his delicate head pats actually work and the baby stops crying! Soon the baby is sounds asleep. See kitty, going out of your way to be sweet pays off sometimes!
