Living with a dog and living with a cat are two very different experiences. When you come home to a dog, they run up to you with their tails wagging and seem completely overwhelmed with happiness over your return. On the other hand, when you come home to a cat, they are more likely to briefly look up from their napping spot and only venture to say hello if they are ready for their dinner.
It’s cool, we realize that our cats only see us as the person who dispenses food and toys for their enjoyment; we love them nonetheless for their aloofness. Unlike dogs, cats really appreciate their alone time.
The cat in this video seems to be on his last legs with the new tiny human who’s sharing his house. Most adults know when to leave their cats be and when to approach them. Babies, however, don’t always understand these unspoken boundaries. In a desperate attempt to get some quiet time, this cat devises the perfect plan to hid himself of the tiny human. Once the curious child crawls into the open cabinet, all the cat has to do is shut the door and he is free!
Too bad the baby’s mother caught on to the cat’s trick … better luck next time!

That kitty was looking at someone off-camera. I think s/he has been taught this trick. This kitty didn\’t just come up with this tactic all on his/her own. Cute video but staged, in my opinion.
