Pit Bulls are often given a bad reputation for being vicious or aggressive dogs due to their association with cruel dog fighting rings. While it is a shame that the actions of a few irresponsible Pit Bull guardians has tarnished the reputation of this breed, many people are working to set the record straight for these dogs.
Just take a look at Ember, the Pit Bull in this video. The Daniels family rescued Ember through Adore-A-Bulls, an animal rescue that actively works to dispel the wrongful myths surrounding Pit Bulls and other Bully breeds.
Ember has always been a wonderful pet for the Daniels but she truly showed her amazing personality when she came to the rescue of 10-year-old Tre. Tre had a seizure in the middle of the night and passed out in a bathtub. Sensing that Tre needed help, Ember immediately woke up his parents and led them to bathroom. Within minutes, an emergency team arrived to attend to Tre, all thanks to Ember’s quick thinking.
Every dog deserves the chance to thrive in a loving, caring home, regardless of their breed. You never know how a little compassion will pay off down the line.

Since when were Pit Bulls given a bad reputation for being vicious or aggressive dogs due to their association with cruel dog fighting rings? What people or group propagated that message? I never heard of it. Pit Bulls earned their savage reputation by mauling, maiming, dismembering, disemboweling, degloving, and killing innocent children, people, pets, livestock, and wildlife without provocation in inordinate numbers more than all other breeds combined. Even reputable Pit Bull rescues advise to never trust your Pit Bull not to fight as they will finish it. Why do people continue to aid and abet this dangerous mauler by presenting false information about the BSL movement and the pet qualities of Pit Bulls?
Dee, please stop talking out of your rear end, you\’re bringing the IQ of the entire East Coast down.
TRUE, not dog bad behaviour, all depend the owner of the dog that train them to be bad and aggresive… DOG like human kids too some bad and some good…all depend the parents who teach the kids…
No such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners, it is sad that a particular breed gets a bad reputation to the point of some wishing to make them illegal, when it\’s an owner somewhere along the line that should be taking the blame and or illegal. Years ago it was the Doberman that got the bad rap, and this is one of if not the most intelligent dog breeds around, and while I only owned one doberman, I truly believe that at that time and the time they had the bad rap, they are the perfect breed. I owned so many great danes that I lost count and have a good feel for dogs, and that is why I repeat, there is no such thing as a bad dog.
