Isn’t it incredible how two animals belonging to the same species can lead such vastly different lives? Take lambs, for example. Some lambs are born into a dismal world. They are brutishly handled, know nothing but cruelty, and one day their life will be taken, from one moment to the next, all for someone else’s benefit. Other lambs, however, enter a world of kindness. They get caressed and loved, they get to frolic without worry, and life will be full of simple pleasures.
For the recently-born baby lambs in the video above, they have no idea the lucky cards they have been dealt. Having arrived at Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary so soon after birth, they will be given affection and care that some animals only dream of, but that all most certainly deserve. Seeing the lambs’ pure and adorable innocence makes you wonder how anyone could harm such sweet, young creatures. We hope that one day there will not be such a wide spectrum of life quality for farm animals like lambs and they can all be born into a kinder and more compassionate world. Until then, we celebrate the sweet lives these animals are about to begin.
