This baby elephant is taking a stand! He’s not a huge fan of these humans watching him and his family (albeit, they were doing so peacefully), and makes the cutest attack ever. You can definitely hear the “This is my elephant trail, hoomans!” in his little wheezy noises.
Animal families like the one featured in this video deserve to be respected and given the peace and comfort they need to enjoy life in their wild habitat. Unfortunately, many elephants, are never given this opportunity as a result of human actions. The African elephant population is gravely endangered by the illegal ivory trade. Not to mention, these majestic animals are also under constant threat of being captured and placed in captivity, in zoos or circuses.
Thankfully, the sweet baby elephant in this video is safe with his family in their home at Kruger National Park in South Africa and it truly is a beautiful thing to know that some elephants, at least, get to live where they belong – in the wild.
We can all play our part to ensure that these animals stay wild and free by avoiding ivory trinkets at all costs and refusing to pay to see animals suffering in zoos and other animal attractions.
