Have you ever seen someone so happy that it started to rub off on you? Well, we certainly have. The elephant in this clip has an air of joy that is downright contagious! This baby elephant friend was just having a little dip in the watering hole when suddenly … gasp! A soccer ball appeared out of nowhere!
If there’s one thing we know about baby elephants, it’s that they can’t resist the urge to play. It’s pretty obvious that this guy is no exception. Who knows how long he spent tossing that ball around!
Perhaps part of the reason that this elephant is so happy because he is safe and sound in the care David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. This organization has made it their life’s work to rescue and rehabilitate the orphans of the illegal ivory trade. While the circumstances surrounding why this baby was brought to the sanctuary might be sad, we can take solace in the fact that he is now safe.
