The incoming administration under President-elect Donald Trump is expected to reverse several key U.S. climate initiatives, as posted by @postclimate on Instagram. Trump’s actions may include withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, reopening oil and gas drilling areas, and rolling back Pollution controls for power plants.
Additionally, he plans to cut clean energy subsidies and weaken protections for endangered species. His administration also aims to shrink national monuments, end the Environmental justice initiative, and lift auto emission restrictions. These changes could significantly impact U.S. efforts to address Climate change and its environmental commitments.
As Trump prepares to take office, many fear that these moves will stall progress on clean energy and climate protection.
