Someone Tortured This Puppy Until He Couldn’t Walk Anymore… Then He Was Dumped in a Shelter

Meet Buddy, a beautiful little boy with a story that is bound to break your heart.

Buddy was recently abandoned in a kill shelter, unable to walk with bloodshot eyes. The eyes alone were indicative of being thrown or hit, and with the extent of his injuries, the shelter called Rescue Dogs Rock for their assistance, not wanting to have to euthanize such a beautiful pup.

Buddy, after everything he has been through, was unable to stand. Once Rescue Dogs Rock made arrangements for Buddy to be taken to the Dallas Specialty Hospital, he had a full orthopedic evaluation.

They discovered this little boy has two tibia fractures on both the right and left sides. The full extent of what this puppy has been through we can’t even imagine, but it is obvious he has been thrown or beaten numerous times. The bones on each side are literally cracked in two.

Please take a look at this little face and explain how anyone could do this to a defenseless dog?

The vital surgery on Buddy’s legs cost most than $5,000. Here he is after that difficult five-hour surgery looking rightfully sorry for himself. He needed pins to aid the healing process, which will take at least three months. Buddy’s left leg has a deep incision where the pins and plates were inserted to repair the badly damaged right tibia. The orthopedic surgeon operating on Buddy said this was the worst bone breaks in a puppy he has ever seen.

As well as the surgery to fix his legs, Buddy is going to need an intensive program of physiotherapy. He is also on strong pain meds anti-inflammatories. What kind of start in life is this for this poor little boy?

Thankfully, Buddy’s road to recovery is taking place in an amazing foster home with people who will love and nurture him. Who wouldn’t want to? Get well soon, Buddy!

Animal cruelty of any kind is abhorrent, but the thought of someone deliberately causing harm to such a young dog is beyond our understanding. Animal cruelty is a violent crime and should be prosecuted as such. If you suspect someone of doing such a despicable thing please don’t turn a blind eye. There is absolutely no excuse for any animal to go through what Buddy has been through.
