1. Keep Ban on Cosmetic Animal Testing in the UK

Cosmetic animal testing has been banned in the UK for 23 years. However, recently the European Chemicals Agency stated that animal testing is necessary and the UK is considering not only reversing the ban, but also mandating animal testing. Animal testing is an extremely cruel industry as sentient beings are locked in barren cages and then have painful chemicals rubbed on their eyes and skin. There are so many alternatives that are not only more ethical, but also more effective and reliable. Sign this petition to demand that the UK government stand firm on Animal rights and continue to prohibit animal testing for cosmetics!

2. Demand Countries Take In more Refugees From Afghanistan

After the US pulled troops out of Afghanistan, the Taliban took over large portions of the country, including the capital city of Kabul. Now many people, especially women, LGBTQ individuals, and those who helped the U.S. or the Afghan government, are going into hiding and are trying to flee to save their lives. The UK and Canada have promised to take around 20,000 people in, but only over several years. The US is unclear with how many people they will allow and Australia isn’t allowing anyone else. It’s critical that each and every Afghan refugee who wants to leave the country is able to safely find asylum elsewhere. Sign this petition to demand the United States, Australia, Canada, and the UK take in more refugees immediately!

3. Shut Down Illegal Wildlife Parts Trafficking Network

Pangolins, are being hunted into extinction as their scales are a hot commodity for fashion accessories and traditional medicine. Upwards of 50% of the main “pangolin scale” busts are connected to one high-profile, international network of criminals that operates, among other places, in Nigeria. Recently, Nigerian authorities worked with animal welfare groups to track down and arrest three traffickers who are high-ranking within this network. They also seized 196 huge bags of dead animal parts, including more than 7,000 kg of pangolin scales and 4 kg of pangolin claws — as well as nearly 900 kg of ivory from murdered elephants. Unfortunately, the network is still operational. Sign this petition to thank the Nigerian government for their work to save pangolins’ lives, and urge them to continue investigating this illegal trafficking network until it is shut down for good!

4. Give Vaccines to Factory Workers in Vietnam

Recently, Vietnam-based Apple, Samsung, Luxshare plants set up concrete floor tents in the hallways of their factories so that workers don’t spread COVID. These companies are so focused on efficiency and making money that they are forcing their workers to live at work and not see their families. If these companies actually cared about their workers, then they would make sure they could get vaccines. If these companies were really so concerned about their workers, they would actually put the workers’ safety first — by getting them all vaccinated. Sign this petition to tell Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, Luxshare President Wang Laichun, and Samsung CEOs Kim Hyun Suk, Koh Dong Jin, and Kim Ki Nam to treat their workers like human beings. No one should have to live in a tent on concrete floors at work. Give them COVID-19 vaccines as protection instead!

5. Investigate Murders of 300 Dogs

Recently, 300 dead dogs were found in a mass grave near a lake in southern India. Animal activists and authorities believe that the dogs were poisoned. Allegedly, these dogs were supposed to be spayed or neutered and then released; however, they were instead killed with poison, which is against the governmental guidelines on dealing with stray dogs. An investigation is currently underway to find out the truth, but some activists worry about how thorough and transparent it will be. Sign this petition to demand a thorough investigation into the murders of these 300 dogs

6. Investigate Animal Abuser

Recently, the Animal Rescue League of Boston was able to remove four adult dogs and twenty puppies from a home in Massachusetts. The dogs didn’t have adequate access to food or water and multiple had various medical issues such as heart murmurs, umbilical hernias, and an untreated broken leg. It’s wonderful that they were rescued and are receiving care, but there are worries that this could have been a breeder part of a larger backyard breeding operation. Sign this petition to ask local authorities to investigate this animal abuser’s connections to be sure no more dogs are suffering.

7. Demand the Resignation of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Florida has accounted for around 30% of all COVID-19 cases across the nation recently, setting a new record with over 56,000 cases in two days. The state has also had to request 300 ventilators from the federal government. However, Governor Ron DeSantis is still being extremely careless in regards to the pandemic. He pushed back against mask mandates, opened bars and restaurants, and even is allowing a music festival. Sign this petition to demand the immediate resignation of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for his incompetence during the pandemic. He is putting so many people’s lives at risk!

8. Hold Fox News Accountable For Vaccine Disinformation

With new variants spreading and hospitalizations for the unvaccinated on the rise, public health officials are cracking down on combating vaccine misinformation. Fox News has been responsible for biased and misleading coverage of the vaccine and pandemic. As a result, many of these viewers refuse to get the vaccine, which will lead to a spike in mortality rates and breakthrough infections for those who are vaccinated. This is a deadly issue of public health. Without a major shift in vaccine messaging, we will be in this for the long haul. 9. Evacuate Afghani Personnel 

Over 80,000 former Afghani interpreters and their families sought U.S. visas under threat of retribution from the Taliban. However, only 1% of those people have been successfully evacuated and at the current pace, it could take two years to evacuate the full group of Afghans who worked for US Troops. It’s vital that tour government take immediate action and focus resources as Taliban forces have already begun targeting these allies. Two years is too long. Sign this petition to call for the swift evacuation of all Afghani personnel in the SIV (Special Immigration Visa) pipeline!

10. Protect NSW Cats and Wildlife from Being Poisoned

New South Wales, Australia is experiencing an overpopulation of mice, who are destroying farmers’ crops and posing a threat to vulnerable people’s health. Unfortunately, to deal with this crisis, NSW Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall proposed using an extremely powerful poison called bromadiolone on some of the mice’s sources of food. Sadly, this will move up the food chain and also harm cats, birds of prey, and other forms of wildlife. Marshall recognized this, but still wants to move forward with the plan. Sign this petition to urge APVMA CEO Lisa Croft to bar the widespread use of bromadiolone as mouse control in NSW.
