Hurricane Dorian caused major destruction in the Bahamas at the end of August and beginning of September. It was a devastating disaster that claimed many lives and left the islands in rubble. From that rubble, a miracle was recently saved.
Florida’s Big Dog Ranch Rescue used a drone equipped with infrared heat-seeking technology to search through the rubble. With this drone, they were able to find a puppy pinned under an air conditioning unit. It was an absolute miracle that the dog was still alive. And that’s why he was fittingly given the name “Miracle.”
Miracle lost half of his body weight while he was trapped and fighting to stay alive. The rescue organization is attempting to locate his family so that they can hopefully be reunited. His survival and rescue offer a glimmer of hope that more animals and people will be found now that recovery efforts are underway.
