Watching an animal be rescued warms our hearts. There’s a special bond between dogs and their humans, and whenever a dog is stuck somewhere, especially for long periods of time, it can be terrifying.

Golden Retriever, Ruby was saved from an enormous 20-foot sinkhole in San Diego, California. According to Cleveland 19 News, the hole formed around 11am, and the dog was found at 9pm. The hole was a result of winter storms that impacted the area. Firemen gingerly placed a ladder in the hole, and with the help of the humane society, they carefully carried the Ruby to safety.
