When Maria saw her neighbors driving away without their cat, she assumed they would be coming back soon. But their poor cat had been abandoned without anybody to care for him. Once Maria realized that the poor cat was on his own, she began to bring him food and try to gain his trust. It took a bit of time, but eventually, Maria was able to catch him and named him Rolo.
Maria took Rolo to the vet and gave him so much love. Even so, Rolo still seemed to miss his owners. After all, he had been with them for years until they suddenly abandoned him. However, Maria gives Rolo so much love and now he seems so happy to be in his new home. She lets him play outside whenever he wants, gives him toys, gets him a catio, and even moves her washer and dryer so he can have his own room!
It’s heartbreaking to know that someone could just abandon a cat without any regard for their life. Fortunately, abandonment wasn’t the end of Rolo’s story. It was a beginning. We’re so happy that a kind person like Maria was there to save Rolo and give him a loving home.
