This is another incredible rescue by Hope For Paws! The team was once called about a senior German Shepherd who was found wandering alone in the neighborhood and hiding under cars.

When the rescuers arrived at the location, they found the dog hiding underneath a vehicle, lying with her head close to the ground and looking visibly anxious. After luring the dog out of her hiding place with small pieces of burger, they managed to make the dog slowly get out from under the car. In time, the dog became more and more daring and began to follow the rescuer for more treats. Luckily, they were able to get her into an enclosed yard and slip a lucky leash around her neck!

The dog got a new name – Amelia – and after a quick stop at the hospital for a check-up, she went on to her foster home. Even during the likely stressful rescue, she proved to be an incredibly sweet and calm animal. She gets along with, it seems, all species, and, like many senior dogs, she is very gentle – and would love nothing more than a forever home and someone to love with that special older dog kind of love.
