Pugs are not known as typical “outdoorsy” dogs. Instead, most pups of this breed seem to prefer to spend much of their time relaxing and receiving attention from their humans. However, one pug named Gus is going viral on TikTok after his humans posted a video showing how they kept the “city pug” happy on a recent camping trip

Posted to the TikTok account @goth_pack, the video opens with a shot of Gus and his human sitting in a chair on the front porch of a cabin. Although Gus’s human is sitting normally, the small Pug has wedged himself behind their head and is cautiously surveying the terrain. The video then shows the accommodations his humans made to try and keep him happy. Text overlay alongside the video shares that, to please the Pug, his humans brought plenty of toys and held him much of the time they were camping. Additionally, footage shows Gus being carried on a hike, and being hand-fed his dinner.

The hysterical video has been liked nearly one million times. Many Pug parents related to the video. TikTok user IlyannaM commented “omg my pugs are like that”, while user Brianna Marie wrote “all pugs are the same I swear. Mine are just as high maintenance.” Looks like Gus is in good company!
