This past fall, a shocking tragedy unfolded in a quiet suburb of Austin, Texas. Two students from the local high school’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter were competing in goat shows when one girl, consumed by jealousy, targeted her rival’s innocent goat, Willy.
In a cruel act, she poisoned Willy over several days, using a syringe to administer pesticides repeatedly. Heartbreaking video evidence captures the torment Willy endured as he convulsed in pain. Tragically, after suffering for hours, Willy succumbed to the poison, leaving his devastated 15-year-old owner behind.
We urge you to sign this petition demanding that the National FFA Organization take decisive action and ban the girl responsible for Willy’s death!
Despite her admission of guilt, claiming she believed Willy and his owner were “cheating”—a baseless accusation in animal showing—the horror of her actions cannot be overlooked. The disturbing footage of Willy’s suffering was shared with his owner’s family as a misguided warning, revealing the depths of this girl’s cruelty.
While there is clear evidence for legal consequences, the more pressing concern is ensuring that she does not have access to other animals. As a member of the FFA, she poses a significant risk to any animals she perceives as competition. Her actions contradict the FFA’s core values of fairness, respect, and positivity, which she has clearly disregarded.
We must demand justice for Willy, his grieving owner, and any other animals that may fall victim to this individual.
Join us in calling for the National FFA Organization to ban her from all future competitions and protect our animals from such senseless cruelty! Sign this petition.
