New York Fashion Week has finally taken a clear stand for animals by officially banning cruel fur from all NYFW events starting in 2026. This is a major win for animal welfare and a signal that fashion does not need suffering to survive. Now it is time for Paris Fashion Week to follow.
Paris remains one of the most influential fashion stages in the world. Continuing to allow fur in 2025 means endorsing an industry built on extreme cruelty. Animals on fur farms are confined to tiny cages, surrounded by filth, injuries, and death. Many suffer from disease, self harm, and untreated wounds before being killed, often by gassing or electrocution, simply so their skins can be sold.
Other global fashion weeks, including Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam, Melbourne, Stockholm, and Helsinki, have already gone fur free. Paris has no excuse left.
