Many heroic animal stories begin with a family dog coming to the rescue of their humans, but other pets can also be heroes, regardless of their size compared to the attacker. Let’s say … a cat fighting off a bigger dog.
Tara the cat is a furry family member of the Triantafilo family who live in Bakersfield, Ca. These days, she is being hailed as a superhero when she suddenly came flying out of nowhere to save her human family’s little boy from being attacked further by a neighbor’s loose dog.
In the video posted by the boy’s father, Roger Triantafilo, he wrote in the description, “My cat defends my son during a vicious dog attack and runs the dog off before he can do additional damage. Thankfully, my son is fine!”
Scary incidents like this remind us how important it is to keep family dogs secured on your property for their safety and the safety of others and to get your dog basic behavior training.
Tara, you are a true hero!
