Bittersweet Video Shows Senior Dog After Being Woken for “Proof of Life Check”

A bittersweet video of a senior dog is melting hearts online. Posted to the Instagram account @ryangraney, the video shows a 19-year-old dog’s reaction to being woken up from a nap for a “proof of life check”.

In the video, senior dog MollyDoodle can be seen yawning as her human gently wakes her up. Text overlay on the video reads, “Pov: you just got woken up for a proof of life check because you’re almost 19 years old”. A caption that accompanies the video further explains, “She was sleeping a little too hard for my liking. Know what I mean?”
