When floodwaters stranded three sheep, one Welsh sheepdog leaped into action to get her flock to safety. The waters were a result of Storm Babet, which caused flooding across the United Kingdom. The Kelpie and Collie mix is named Patsy, and her heroic actions are being commended on social media.
Thanks god for little Patsy she #rescue the #sheep that got cut off by the #deepwater. Didn’t get my feet wet either. #StormBabet #sheep #workingdogs #Babet pic.twitter.com/a91YLkcFs0

Amazing footage shared to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) by farmer Llŷr Jones, shows the sheepdog plunging into standing water. The three sheep she is rescuing can be seen standing on a small patch of land not yet submerged by the flood. She quickly swims across the floodwaters and guides the sheep to safety. A job well done, she bounds back to her human.
Patsy the sheepdog received praise from both her human and strangers on social media. “Worth her weight in gold bless her.” wrote one user. The sheepdog’s heroic actions have been featured in a variety of news outlets, including the Daily Mail, and the BBC.
