Make no bones about it, this vegan bone broth is hands down far more nurturing than any animal-based broth ever could be. If you are looking for a mineral rich and healing stock, look no further! The sea vegetable arame adds an abundance of minerals to the stock and is the perfect vegan substitute for animal product-based "healing" broths. This vegan bone broth recipe can be enjoyed any time you wish to give your digestive system a rest. Chop the vegetables as small as possible to have the flavor come out with less cooking time.

Seriously? This is a vegetable broth. Why call it specifically a “no-bone” broth? Are you so desperate for views that you must call it by some ridiculous title? Just call it an herb infused vegetable broth, parsley and bay leaves are considered herbs. Or call it a savory vegetable broth, garlic and onions are savory flavors. You could have even called it Savory Herb Vegetable Broth. That one sounds a lot tastier.

Dear Rhynian,
There are vegans and vegetarians that have been told about the healing benefits of animal bone broth and they are looking for an alternative. So, simply googling vegetable broth is not going to come up with a broth that has been strategically designed to have the benefits that the animal broth provides. That is what I was looking for and I am thankful that I found it. If anyone ever recommended bone broth to you and you did not want animal broth but did want the healing elements that it provides in a vegan version, I am sure you would be grateful too:) No reason not to list it both ways…
Brian, I’m game to try this. I’ve never cooked with arame. Where do I get it, or could I leave it out? Will it effect the flavor much?
Kris Boydstun Skip it. The beauty is that the flavor is a little different each time but always good.
