Zoos and aquariums are downright weird when you really think about them. We capture animals from their natural habitats and put them in tiny enclosures just so we can go and visit them every now and then … weird.
This footage, however, shows that there is a much better way to observe animals — in the wild, on the animals’ own terms.
These dolphins were not baited or trained. This means that the only way the divers could keep them nearby was by making themselves interesting enough! Isn’t it funny to think that the dolphins might be learning as much about us as we are about them?
Now this is truly the type of show that we should look forward to seeing. Forget SeaWorld and the other aquariums, the best way to learn about animals is to see them in the wild — that’s where they really belong!
