If you’ve ever sat down to watch television and thought to yourself, “Gee — you know what I really wish I was watching? A hilarious web-series all about the various hijinx a couple of plant-based eaters got into” then you are in for a remarkably pleasant surprise.

Emmy-nominated writer and producer Charles Horn (the same man who brought you the popular Robot Chicken and Robot Chicken: Star Wars series, as well as the animated sitcom Fugget About It) has announced his intentions to release “Zoe and Charles,” a comedy web-series about two best friends who want to enjoy life, find love, and convince the world to go vegan.

Horn has released a teaser for the series, as well as a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in order to raise money for the series, which he plans to launch in May 2018. Peep both the video and the crowdfunding campaign here.

“While numerous documentaries have come out recently on the topic, I wanted to see more fictional works as well,” Horn said.  “I especially wanted to create something comedic, with vegans as the lead characters in the series.”

Not only did Horn write the book “Meat Logic: Why Do We Eat Animals?” but he is also dedicated to encouraging Hollywood to create shows with positive Animal rights messages — and that’s something we can get behind!

Horn is hoping to raise $20,000 over the next month, and if you’re interested in supporting the campaign. Learn how you can Support them by clicking here.

In the meantime, if you’re hoping to whip up a super delicious vegan feast in preparation for the pilot episode, make sure to download our Food Monster App, which is available for both Android and iPhone, and can also be found on Instagram and Facebook.
